The best use of a picture is for a “guest book mat”. I love this idea and it works out perfect every time:
Use an old- “memorable” photograph of the birthday boy – one that you can blow up to an 8×10 size.

These are picture mats that are wide enough for well wishers to sign… and leave a few “Happy Birthday” notes.
After the party – switch out the picture for a great shot you have from his special day.
